St. George's Connect is a society at St. George's, University of London, that strives to connect medical students who wish to pursue research in a particular sector of medicine, with leading clinicians in the field. Our mission is to enhance research at St. George's, by enabling every single St. George's medical student who wants to be involved in research
St George's Surgical Society is one of the oldest surgical societies in the United Kingdom, founded in 1735. Our membership consists of over 2,000 current and former students. We host annual surgical simulation workshops which attract national and international audiences. We also host suturing workshops, careers talks and other practical skills sessions regularly.
Our conferences and workshops offer the unique opportunity to practice skills and procedures over and above the level that medical students would normally be able to do. We have a fantastic relationship with different surgical organisations, and have hosted several conferences in the state-of-the-art GAPS Centre in St George's Hospital.
